This is an unedited run-through of startup procedures for my 1978 Enstrom 280C helicopter. It is powered by a turbocharged, horizontally-opposed 4-cylinder Lycoming engine. The point of departure is Long Beach (KLGB) airport in California enroute to (L45) in Bakersfield.

The Catapult Topside Petty Officer's job is to ensure the safety of all personnel on the flight deck during launching operations, and to ensure the proper hook-up of the aircraft to the catapult. The video starts with about one minute until launch, with the first launch taking place at around 1:14. The aircraft you'll see are F/A-18C/D (Legacy) Hornets, F/A-18E/F Super Hornets (Rhinos) and the EA-6B Prowler.
